(We’ll also let you in on some hidden gems). The next time you’re in the mood for a pitstop en route to skiing, I suggest you try Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea at Downieville.Located 6 miles west of Idaho Springs, Vail Mountain Coffee features excellent coffee and delicious grab-and-go food at a convenient exit off of Interstate 70. The shop replaced the Starbucks there last summer and became my favorite place for coffee in the mountains. It shares space with a Breeze Ski Rentals location, parking is easy, and there’s a gas station next door.Vail Mountain Coffee is not owned by Vail Resorts, but partners with Vail Resorts at Beaver Creek and the Downieville location. Denver Post Broncos writer Parker Gabriel posts his Broncos Mailbag weekly during the season. Submit questions to Parker here.Hi Parker, I’m glad to see that the Broncos made a big splash in free agency by shoring up the offensive line. I feel like it’s been a long, long time coming. Maybe we’ll get to see Russell Wilson actually have some more time instead of instantly meeting pass rushers this year. Maybe we’ll actually see a competent offense. What do you think the front five will look like in Week 1?— Mark, ArvadaHey Mark, thanks, as always, for writing in.Indeed, the Broncos did make a big splash in free agency. They agreed to terms with both right tackle Mike McGlinchey (five years, up to $87.5 million) and guard Ben Powers (four years, up to $52 million) on Monday.Certainly the Broncos were inconsistent at times in 2022 protecting Wilson, but Denver’s league-leading 63 sacks taken were not all on the offensive line, either. McGlinchey and Powers ...MEPs concerned by threats to EU values in Greece

A delegation of the Civil Liberties Committee was in Athens on 6-8 March 2023, to take stock of issues and allegations relating to the state of EU values in Greece. The visit covered a wide range of topics, including media freedom and safety of journalists, migration policies, human rights and equal treatment, the use of spyware, the rule of law, and the fight against corruption. At the end of the visit, the Chair of the delegation Sophie IN ‘T VELD (RE, NL) issued the following statement on behalf of the delegation.“The members of the delegation express their deep condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims of the tragedy at Tempi. We also wish to pay respect to the Greek people. The words “Pare me otan phtaseis” have become the expression of the immense pain and grief, of the disbelief of so many young lives lost. This tragedy affects the nation as a whole. As Europeans we stand with the Greeks."The delegation is grateful for the rich and frank exchange with all inter...Europe slowly understands the importance of the Abraham Accords

The symposium organized last week by the European Coalition for Israel in the European Parliament was a first of its kind that brought together European stakeholders both from the European Commission and the European Parliament with some of the key states behind the Abraham Accords to discuss the next steps of the normalisation process. After the signing of the Abraham Accords, which normalized Israel’s relations with several Arab states in 2020, the European Union remained on the sidelines and was rather unenthusiastic to the new development in the Mideast, writes Yossi Lempkowicz.Trapped in an old narrative about the Mideast peace process and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the EU was reluctant to embrace the Abraham Accords which were viewed as an American initiative led by then President Donald Trump, his son-in-law Jared Kushner nd other senior officials in the administration.According to Dutch member of the European Parliament Bert-Jan Ruissen, who is Vice Chairman of the pa...Presale Codes for Train Tour

Published Thu, 21 Nov 2024 19:25:59 GMT
There was a time when U.S. parents who abandoned their children were a rarity and fit a narrow profile. Due to overwhelming cultural or social pressures, their unplanned pregnancy put them at significant risk, so they felt they had no choice but to hide the pregnancy, give birth alone and abandon the infant. Now, due to the rollback of Roe v. Wade amid limited access to contraception, the profile of at-risk parents is much broader. People facing these circumstances are no longer extreme outliers but are more likely to fit the profile of an average person of reproductive age from any state where abortion is now illegal or highly restricted. The legal landscape is shifting in alarming ways — which traumatizes birth parents and children alike through unwanted births, while feeding a profitable adoption system.Privately funded “baby boxes” — modern versions of medieval abandonment wheels — are being installed in so many locations that they are quietly shaping a national infrastructure.
